Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) Course

In conjunction with Seige Works Consulting:

COURSE CONTENT
•Understanding the fundamentals of scoped and magnified optic carbine operation
•Program development and sustainment
•Proper mounting and zeroing of scope and magnified optics
•Fundamentals of marksmanship in various supported and unsupported positions
•Understanding the capabilities of magnification for proper identification
•Techniques for engaging targets at various distances (10 yards to 400 yards)
•Practical shooting drills and exercises incorporating positive identification

•Patrol Carbine / Rifle
•Variable power scope (1 to 6,8,10x) and mount or red dot with magnifier)
•Duty ammunition (minimum of 400 rounds)
•Sling
•3 Magazines per firearm
•Shooting support bags
•Ballistic eye protection
•Hearing protection
•Body Armor or Plate Carrier
•Duty Gear to include Holster, Belt, Magazine Pouches
•IFAK
•Cleaning kit
•Notebook and pen
